Silent Features of Dharavi Patpedhi
  1. The Patpedhi has the track record of helping the poor slum dwellers of Dharavi.
  2. The Patpedhi has helped those who had no credit with the banks.
  3. First time the slum dwellers were provided finance for the reasonable rate.
  4. The Patpedhi has succeeded to release the poor slum dwellers from the clutches of the Money Lenders who used to harass them. The money lenders used to lend money at the interest rate of 5 to 10% per month.

In Dharavi there were several Co-operative credit societies established prior and after the establishment of the Dharavi Sahkari Patpedhi Ltd., however either the directors swollen the money or they were closed due to mismanagement. The Patpedhi is the unique example of the professional and social minded management. The management has succeeded in establishing the faith in the mind of the people of Dharavi.
  6. By its sincere work for the people the Patpedhi has became the pride of the people of Dharavi. The people of Dharavi have immense faith in the Patpedhi and they are keeping their money in the patpedhi.   2011-12 is the 25th year of Patpedhi and Patpedhi has made good progress against all the odds.

Dharavi Patpedhi has proved itself as unique example of the social service through the financial institution. The Patpedhi is has good influence over the people of Dharavi. The Dharavi Patpedhi has made this progress on its own and without any Government Aid or without any helping hand from the Mumbai Central District Bank.
